Foreign Worker
- Government-mandated coverage for all legally employed foreign workers (excluding maids).
- Provides medical, accident, and personal protection during employment in Malaysia.
- Employers are responsible for purchasing and renewing the policy.

What It Covers:

Foreign Workers Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance Scheme (SKHPPA)
- Mandatory for all foreign workers
- Covers treatment in government hospitals only
- Annual limit: ~RM20,000 per worker
- Needed for work permit renewal

Foreign Workers Compensation Scheme (FWCS)
- Compulsory under the Workmen’s Compensation Act 1952
Covers:
- Death or permanent disability due to work accidents
- Medical expenses for work-related injuries
- Repatriation (e.g. funeral & return of remains)
- Compensation paid to the worker or their family

Foreign Workers Insurance Guarantee (FWIG)
- Replaces bank guarantee; required by Immigration
- Protects government if worker breaks immigration laws
- Amount depends on nationality (e.g. RM250 – RM1,500)
